HAPPY MONDAY!!! A NEW WEEK AND A FEW WEEKS AWAY FROM THANKSGIVING & CHRISTMAS & all that awesome Holiday spirit. I’m getting ready to go to my new Drs appt today (no worries, just the yearly checkup – getting older makes me take all these tests. GAH!!! LOL!) but tests results look good from what I can tell, so off to the Dr. to complete my first check up with her. I’ve had the same Dr for 25 years or more, but moving 2 hours away from my old life means finding all new medical providers.

Three things:

1.) I had a lazy weekend again!! Much needed I think. I wanted to get creative (garden, or organize or decorate, or create some fun blog posts) but I just couldn’t muster up enough energy for it. So I read (which is my PERFECT relaxation) and I totally needed that. BTW I’m buddy-reading with my friend & college, Kelly —> Remain: A Supernatural Love Story by Nicholas Sparks & M. Night Shyamalan (and so far I’m IN!!). What are YOU reading?

2.) I’m still loving my mini garden, and it survived last week’s 3 day super-cold front. I wrapped the whole thing in blankets for 3 days – no sun, no water, just cold, so I wasn’t sure what I’d see once I pulled the blankets off. But it did FINE!!! I can’t believe it. In fact I had some big cucumbers & bell peppers (and a few green beans) just waiting for me, and a whole bunch of baby veggies starting. YAY ME!!!

3.) We did go out on Saturday for the whole day (Christmas shopping for something in particular), and then enjoyed a fun lunch/dinner at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse. Everything on that menu is SO YUMMY, and they have plenty of healthy options to choose from as well as full on indulgences, and the portions are HUGE. And then of course… the pazookie. HOLY. MOLY. This time we tried the Dubai chocolate one.
