When I started writing TPOBAB, I thought it would be the last book for Poppy, Cas, and Kieran as the main characters.
So much needed to happen—the crossovers, the different realms you finally get to see, the appearance of major character(s) from a certain world many of you are familiar with and the return of many, MANY others. There are pretty big reveals—some that a few of you have guessed and others that will likely surprise you. There is spice and angst, action and heartache, and all of that needed time on the page to be resolved.
So, as I was writing TPOBAB, I realized there was no way I could wrap up their story and be happy and proud of it by trying to force it all into one book—even if that book is the longest I’ve ever written, surpassing even Born of Blood and Ash.
This has led to two changes:
First, as much as it pained me to have to do, we needed to push the release back slightly to give me the time to revamp and write, the book to be edited and to be printed. The new release date is September 23, 2025.
The second piece of news is that this not the last book for Poppy, Cas, and Kieran. They do have one more book, slated to release in Spring 2026. More to come on that book, but if you want to take a guess at the title, you should check out my Spotify playlists…. (giggles).
So what’s it about?
In the shadows and flames, Primals will fall…And from the blood and ash, new gods will rise.
What was dreamt.
Poppy was never meant to awaken, and the consequences are devastating and far-reaching, stirring ancient powers from their slumber and transforming Casteel and Kieran in ways even the Fates couldn’t have foreseen. But what that means is the least of their concerns. For now.
