
Welcome back, everyone! It’s the middle of the week, which means now we get to start thinking about Friday. Let’s be honest, though, there are some weeks when I start thinking about Friday on Sunday evening.
I’m already seeing Christmas stuff despite Halloween still being two weeks away. I know there’s the recurring joke that Christmas decor is getting put out earlier and earlier and I think that’s pretty accurate.
This year, I’m pretty meh on the holidays. How are you feeling?

I saw a Big Idea post over on John Scalzi’s Whatever blog that really excited me today. (10/14). The author is Madeleine Robins, and she is releasing a new book in her Sarah Tolerance series, The Doxie’s Penalty. I have all the other books in this series, though it’s mystery rather than romance set in an alt Regency period. I consider these books to be an unsung treasure.

If you’re in the New England area, the Boston Book Fest is taking place on 10/25. There is a romance panel planned and Julia Quinn was interviewed in The Boston Globe about her involvement. I believe she’ll be doing a keynote.
