Kira is in the mood for something pretty specific, and I have NO doubt that this trope exists in at least one book (and hopefully numerous books), so fingers crossed we can make a nice list!
Hi,
I’m looking for a book where the MMC has lost a wife or girlfriend to death and has moved on, falling in love with the FMC.
But here’s the twist: the lost wife/girlfriend has a twin that suddenly shows up, throwing the MMC into a whirlwind of emotions.
I’d love for the FMC to initially pull away, thinking she can’t compete with the past, but the MMC ultimately realizes he loves her more and fights for their HEA.
Do you have any suggestions?

Okay, so the only one that comes to mind is similar in trope but not exactly what she’s looking for. I’m thinking of “One True Loves: A Novel” by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I LOVED it and it made me an emotional wreck, but SHE’S the one that moves on with a new love, and her presumed deceased husband shows back up years later. SO SO SOOOOO GOOD!! Here’s my review.
I can think of more that I LOVED, but mostly it’s the grieving Hero falling for her best friend (or sister), but his personal guilt and attempt at pushing away is what keeps the turmoil going (and not another person causing the discord).
